This was a letter I was hoping I wouldn’t have to write. I think like everyone else, we had hoped this pandemic would all be over after two weeks and would return to normal. Just as your everyday life has been altered, mine and thus Family Eye Care’s has as well. Unfortunately, it will continue to be altered much longer than we anticipated. Originally I had hoped to be back in the office on April 6th. However, we made the decision to close the entire month of April.
I have been seeing patients in the Quad Cities for nearly six years now. It has gone fast. Where did my hair go? Sheesh. I truly hope every one of you feels like a part of Family Eye Care. I want you all to know it drives me crazy not being able to do what I love, which is helping you all.
I wanted to update you guys on the timeline of our return first and foremost. We tentatively are reopening beginning of May. I also wanted to inform everyone of some changes that are coming to make this easier for everyone.
After a deep cleaning and implementing new safety precautions, both Davenport and Moline will now be open for PICK UPS of contacts and prescriptions on Saturdays from 10-12. Of course, the staff can help with any other questions you might have or schedule appointments.
Staff will be in the office more consistently during the week. At this time there will be no pick up times during the week. They will be able to assist with ordering, shipping, scheduling and any questions you might have.
Our online scheduling system is always available to schedule appointments. You can access that on familyeyecareod.com.
Also through our website, familyeyecareod.com, you can order contacts and have them shipped directly to you. You do not have to be our current patient to order from us! Just remember to email us a copy of the prescription.
We have made gift certificates available for purchase as well. These would be available to use for exam fees or contact lenses. Please email us at officemanager@familyeyecareod.com or call the office directly to discuss this.
We will continue to update everyone on our Facebook page and emails.
On behalf of my father who started Family Eye Care, our manager Rachael who keeps everything running and the entire staff at Family Eye Care, we hope you and your family are safe and healthy. We look forward to getting back in the office and being able to see everyone again.
